  I'm going to tell this story in full in case there are other helicopter moms like myself freaking out over their 2 year old's cavities and having to leave them in the care of the dentist for treatment and leave the room. I started out by googling pediatric dentists, and I found one with great reviews. I went to him and his office was wonderful but he had horrible bedside manner. He talked about the sedation in relation to being drunk on alcohol. He said parents aren't allowed in the room because he doesn't like wasting time answering their concerns. He gave me such a bad vibe and it seemed as though his staff were uncomfortable around him as well. I left without making an appointment obviously. I Googled looking for a pediatric dentist that allowed me to stay in the room and I couldn't find one. I called a general dentist that my sister goes to and the lady that answered said a 2 year old could be seen there. I took her but it turned out she needed a pediatric dentist because she'd need to be tied down if she wasn't sedated, and he didn't have the tools. He recommended Dr. Dove. I had read Dr. Dove's reviews and thought it was a bad idea. I took a chance because my daughter REALLY NEEDED her teeth fixed. I'm so glad I did! He had perfect bedside manner and was even a little funny! The staff all seemed to like him as well. His office is very nice and made for kids to enjoy. He did an amazing job on her teeth. After I got home and her sedation wore off she started playing dentist on one of her toys! Which of course was a great excitement to me because I wasn't in the room for her procedure. She said to her toy "I'm going to put this here" and she put a headband on the toys mouth. She then said "I'm going to be verrrryyyyy gentle, verrrryyyyy gentle, okay?" and she told her toy to hug it's toy. Dr. Dove gave her a stuffed animal during the procedure and she got to take it home. One more thing, during her first visit Dr. Dove told me that the procedure is taped and I could suggest a copy after the visit if I wanted to. We will definitely be going back for a cleaning in 6 months. Thank you Dr. Dove!

  They have been taking great care of my son's teeth. And my 4 year old likes sitting on the chair all by himself even when they take exrays and the staff is always friendly and happy with him.
